Macan GTS showcased at Porsche Centre Sharjah

[+]

Dubai. The Macan GTS, a powerful addition to Porsche’s range of sporting SUV models, was showcased at Porsche Centre Sharjah as part of the facility’s second anniversary celebrations, reinforcing the Macan’s place as the sports car amongst compact SUVs.

Taking centre-stage, the Macan GTS boasts an impressive output of 360 hp and 500 Nm of torque. It houses a three-litre V6 bi-turbo engine accompanied by the Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) and Porsche Traction Management (PTM) with flexible power distribution between front and rear axles. Completing the zero to 100 km/h sprint in 5.0 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono package, the Macan GTS has a top speed of 256 km/h.

Customary to all Porsche models that bear the three letter insignia, the Macan GTS is inspired by motor racing, which is reflected by the car’s lowered PASM chassis, 20-inch RS Spyder design wheels and the sports exhaust system. For the first time in the Porsche SUV range, the sporty Macan features the new Porsche Communication Management (PCM); offering online, real-time navigation and traffic information on an integrated, multi-touch monitor.

K. Rajaram, CEO of Al Nabooda Automobiles, commented: “The Porsche Macan GTS represents the brand’s constant dedication to producing cars that offer unrivalled driving pleasure.

“In conjunction with celebrating another successful year for Porsche Centre Sharjah, the display of the Macan GTS mirrors our own ongoing efforts in bringing the very best to our customers in Sharjah and the Northern Emirates.”

Displayed alongside the Macan GTS were the classic 1988 model of the Porsche 930 Turbo and the 1991 model of the Porsche 964. Visitors were invited to take pictures with the two cars, which showcase the brand’s sports car heritage.

In addition to the display of the Macan GTS, guests attending the event were offered Porsche driving experiences, which included road tours and dynamic handling courses. Special service benefits such as health checks, and warranty extensions were also offered. Spread over 15,800 sq ft, Porsche Centre Sharjah was officially inaugurated in 2014 and features a service facility and showroom housing the full range of Porsche models.

The Macan GTS is now available at Porsche Centre Sharjah, Dubai and Fujairah showrooms starting from AED 292,400.
