Porsche Centre Bahrain welcomes arrival of 911 Targa 4 GTSPorsche GTS model line-up expands in Bahrain

Manama. The most dynamic Targa to date, the Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS, has arrived at Porsche Centre Bahrain, Behbehani Brothers w.l.l, with the legendary model boasting even more power and exquisite styling than ever before. Wearing the GTS badge for the first time in its history, the legendary Targa is the most recent addition to the Porsche model range in Bahrain.

The concept of the Targa, which made its debut in 1965, delivers safe driving enjoyment with all-wheel drive and a wide rollover protection bar instead of B-pillars. A moveable roof section adds an element of fresh air fun, and can be stowed fully automatically at the press of a button in just 19 seconds in the latest models. In the 911 Targa 4 GTS, the timeless design of the original blends seamlessly with the latest developments in Porsche performance, and builds yet further upon the sporty heritage of the Porsche GTS bloodline.

Speaking on the arrival of the Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS, Colin Sattar, Brand Manager at Porsche Centre Bahrain, commented: “The 911 Targa 4 GTS personifies the brand’s heritage in creating true sports cars for every day; delivering the latest in motor sport technology in the comfort, safety and luxury of a road car. Its iconic roof concept provides the ultimate in automotive enjoyment, whilst the GTS badge it wears with pride signifies unrivalled driving dynamics and performance. This is an exquisitely styled addition to our model line-up – and the GTS family – and I look forward to seeing it welcomed to Bahrain with much excitement.”

The GTS is the most dynamic in the range with a 430 hp engine taking the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds thanks to the standard Sport Chrono package, PASM chassis and PDK transmission. In line with the Porsche philosophy of increasing performance without compromising efficiency, despite its additional 30 hp of power, its combined fuel consumption equals that of the 911 Targa 4S (9.2 to 10.0 l/100km depending on the type of transmission).

Unmistakable as a GTS from any perspective, the front view is defined by the sport design of the front end with an opening for the auxiliary middle radiator and smoked bi-xenon headlights with the Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS). Side-on, the car's characteristic GTS attributes are the silky gloss black 20-inch 911 Turbo S wheels with central locks, sport design door mirrors and "GTS" signatures on the doors. The "targa" logo on the silver rollover protection bar is also painted in silky gloss black. Black accents at the rear include a glossy trim on the special GTS air inlet screen and the model logo.

GTS DNA also defines the interior of the 911 Targa 4 GTS. Integrated at the centre of the instrument panel is the stopwatch of the Sport Chrono package. The four-way adjustable Sport Plus front seats – with their black GTS logos on the head restraints – provide additional lateral support and long-distance cruising comfort for the driver and passenger. The standard aluminium door sill plates feature the "targa 4 GTS" model name in black, leaving no doubt over the source of the model’s sporty characteristics.

The new 911 Targa 4 GTS is available at Porsche Centre Bahrain with a basic retail price of 53,700 BHD.
